So, what will the Traffic Engineering Project Manager do?

This person will be responsible for overseeing projects from the private and public sectors. They will conduct Traffic Impact Studies, DOT Access Permitting, and Parking Studies.

What does a typical day look like for the Traffic Engineering Project Manager?

You will:

  • Conduct Traffic Impact and Parking Studies
  • Prepare and review:
    • DOT Access Permitting
    • Traffic Calming Design
    • Conceptual Roadway Design
    • Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Design
    • Hearing Testimony

What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the Traffic Engineering Project Manager we’re looking for if you have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 8+ years’ of experience, preferable with Transportation Planning/Traffic Engineering experience
  • A Pennsylvania Professional Engineer (PE) registration or the ability to acquire a Pennsylvania PE through reciprocity within 6 months is required
  • Experience using HCS/Synchro software
  • Prepared Traffic Impact Studies and NJDOT/PENNDOT Permit applications
  • Previous experience present before clients and town boards
  • Experience leading a team and mentoring junior and entry-level Traffic Engineers and supervising the work efforts of assigned staff regarding scope, schedule, quality, and budget of projects
  • Experience with NJDOT/PENNDOT/ITE/AASHTO standards/publications
  • Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation experience is a plus
  • Previous experience delivering a presentation before clients and town board
