We also provide Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) services, Executive Search, Staffing and Business Development Support to small businesses.
So, what will the Accountant at Talent Acquisition Concepts do?
The Accountant reports to the Director of Finance and Accounting and will actively work with both corporate departments and the Technical Services groups to provide day-to-day accounting support and ensure the timely delivery of services, data, and reporting. The Accountant will ensure compliance with accounting regulations, corporate policies and procedures, and contract requirements. The Accountant will support the development and implementation of best practice policies and procedures to maximize cash flow and ensure accurate reporting of accounting transactions.
• Reviews all vendor invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
• Record and verify all expense reports, ensure proper compliance with company policies and contract requirements
• Process/prepare batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transactions
• Processes and post journal entries to the general ledger
• Assists in month-end closing through analysis and reconciliation of transactions posted to the General Ledger and relevant sub-ledgers
• Allocates expenditures to correct accounts and pools according to company policies, GAAP, DCAA, and the FAR
• Vendor administration, including new vendor setup, maintain, and update all vendor information
• Maintain fixed asset, depreciation, and prepaid expenses schedules
• Analyze unbilled receivables and report status monthly
• Client administration, including new contract set up, contract modifications, and maintain all client information in the ERP
• Review A/P Aging monthly and provide analysis to the Director of Finance and Accounting
• Lead all AP reconciliations, including bank and credit card reconciliations
• Assist with month end, quarter end and year end close processes
• Lead all AP functions, including payroll and vendor payments
• Assist with Project setup
• Assist with all internal and external audits
What qualifications do you look for?
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Three to five years of progressive accounting experience required
• Intermediate understanding of accounting practices and procedures, project-based accounting under federal contracts, financial statements, and the full accounting cycle
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
• Knowledge of spreadsheets and ERP accounting software, JAMIS a plus
• Ability to analyze and interpret customer and vendor contracts
