Our client is looking for an experienced Material Management SME to better execute the missions of other Special Operations Forces (SOF) that they will work with. The work and maintenance provided by the support members is pivotal to the successful completion of the mission, ultimately producing combat-ready Special Tactics operators. This is an onsite position in Hurlburt Field, FL.

Job Tasks

  • Conduct searches for required information in order to reconstruct records of supply transactions and ensuring accountability of equipment assets purchased with through Base Contracting.
  • Create computer input, maintain Master Custodian Authorization/Custody Receipt Listing (CA/CRL) Jacket files in the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) and correct errors identified on listings relating to equipment.
  • Manage material management activities and systems involved in requirements determination, inventory control and receipt, storage and issues of supplies and equipment.
  • Compute requirements for individual ST-PEMS and SPEAR and determines allowances for all new students and cadre.
  • Research and identifies future material and equipment requirements IAW AFSC Operator Career Field Education and Training Plans (CFETP).
  • Perform operations involved in storage inspection, identification and receipt of property. Performs inventories and ensures timely correction of discrepancies. Inspects and evaluates inventory management activities.
  • Inspect and identify property. Determines the condition of property received. Inspects the shelf life of stock. Plans the use of storage facilities. Receives, stores, issues, ships and transfers property.
  • Coordinate with maintenance activities on repairable component actions. Controls and issues bench stock property. Obtains material required for equipment modification, periodic component exchange and bills of material in support of maintenance. Reviews and validates Special Warfare equipment. Initiates follow-up actions on material requirements.
  • Process information retrievals using supply system databases. Manages material management related systems and hardware. Applies system security policy and procedures to unit computer systems along with SOF Personal Equipment Advanced Requirements (SPEARS) and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) supply programs.
  • Monitor systems processing and correct processing errors. Develops database retrieval scripts for material management support analyses.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a 7 level in USAF Logistics career field (AFSC 2S0X0) or at least 5 years’ experience in a sister service logistics career field. SOF experience preferred.
  • Shall obtain a Government Owned Vehicle (GOV) license to operate GOVs and material handling equipment such as an electric forklift no later than thirty days after the start of performance.
  • Ability to operate GOVs and equipment in a safe manner, applying established safety rules and regulations to minimize minor violations due to employee error or negligence.
  • Current DOD Secret clearance is required
