We are currently seeking a Web Developer/Programmer to support website maintenance and development efforts. This ensures that customers within the DOD, Federal Government, and the Security Industry are able to access training and security information regardless of site restrictions, access, and/or technology. This position will have hybrid (subject to change) opportunities and is located Linthicum, MD.

In this role you will be expected to:

  • Use internet technologies such as XML, PHP, HTML5, Cascading Style Sheets, Section 508 requirements, JSON, Applets, and scripting, JQuery Mobile, as well as software applications such as Content Management systems and secure file transfer applications may require newer technologies not listed above.
  • Ensure all ST products developed for the Internet are Section 508-compliant.
  • Assist ST in creating and maintaining internet interfacing products and applications using industry best practices and standards to enhance user-centered content and meet the business and technical requirements of ST.
  • Design and document well structured, easy to maintain code that balances aesthetics and pragmatism to develop usable, dynamic, interactive web content, control layout, text styles, and overall presentation, and accessibility.

We're looking for someone who is/has:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of progressive experience developing and programming Section 508-compliant and websites using a variety of applications and internet technologies.
  • TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a field related to information technology. In lieu of a degree, at least five (5) years of similar relevant work experience developing and programming Section 508-compliant Internet content.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with internet protocols such as XML, PHP, HTML5, Cascading Style Sheets, Section 508 requirements, Java applets and scripting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of experience with rapid eLearning authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate/Animate, Articulate Storyline, and Adobe Professional Suite to create, develop, or manipulate assets for eLearning courses.
  • Two (2) years of experience interfacing with internal and external customers in a high-volume environment.
  • Successful completion of the Trusted Tester Web Certification Program and the Authoring Accessible Documents Program through the DHS OAST. Minimum of two (2) years of progressive experience developing and programming Section 508-compliant and Internet content using a variety of applications and internet technologies.
  • Experience with software applications such as JAWS or JAWS Inspect to ensure that content being developed is screen reader accessible.
  • Experience with SharePoint Management and/or Power Automate
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Applications
  • Experience with UI/UX design
