Our client is currently seeking a full-time Scrum Master to join their growing team. A Scrum Master proficient in Agile Methodology with an enthusiasm for technology, learning, & process improvement. To be successful in this position, you should have a firm grasp of agile practices and the ability to effectively manage and mentor development teams. You will ensure development teams follow scrum framework values and agile practices, facilitate meetings and decision-making processes, and eliminate team impediments. The ideal candidate for this position has excellent interpersonal, project management, and problem-solving skills. This role resides in the Product Engineering team and reports directly to the Vice President, Engineering.

Our client is a rapidly growing cybersecurity scale-up. They specialize in cybersecurity technology for operational systems, data collection, and insights for a wide variety of operational systems. They defend planes, trains and tanks from cyberattack. They are a growing company focused on helping customer’s fleets run smarter and safer.

In this role you will be expected to:

  • Use agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions.
  • Train, mentor, and support scrum teams to follow agile values, principles, and practices.
  • Determine and manage tasks, issues, risks, and action items.
  • Schedule and facilitate scrum events, meetings, and decision-making processes.
  • Monitor progress and performance while helping teams make improvements.
  • Plan and organize demos and product/system testing.
  • Ensure the proper use of collaborative processes and removing impediments for the scrum team.
  • Track project processes, deliverables, and financials.
  • Prepare and present status reports to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience as a scrum master or in a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Excellent people and project management skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bonus: Experience in a startup environment
